About Dr. Kaplan, DDS
Dr. Kaplan believes a bright smile jumpstarts your day as well as a good breakfast. He works hard to design your smile using the most cutting-edge techniques, training and materials.
Dr. Kaplan graduated from White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Four years later, after completing a BA in Biology at the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!), he returned to Memphis and enrolled in the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
Dr. Kaplan received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UT and then headed north to the University of Detroit Mercy for his orthodontic residency.
He was awarded a certificate in orthodontics and earned his masters of science degree after completing his thesis, The Benefits of Maxillary and Mandibular Expansion Performed in the Mixed Dentition (Ages 7-10).
Dr. Kaplan is board-eligible to be a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the Atlanta chapter of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He's a past director of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists. He's also a member of the following organizations:

Active in Your Community
Dr. Kaplan actively supports neighborhood and school fundraising events and is currently a Partner in Education with Vanderlyn Elementary and Peachtree Charter Middle School.
When he's not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Kaplan enjoys tae kwon do, bike riding, rock climbing, traveling, 80s trivia and all things Disney. He's currently the president of Congregation Ariel and a past member of the Atlanta Scholars Kollel Board.
Dr. Kaplan and his wife, Leanne, have two sons, Matthew and Pace, who bring much joy to their lives.
