About the Orthodontic Assistant Position

We are a small, but high-energy office in Dunwoody looking for a fun and hard-working Orthodontic Assistant. Applicants must be professional, passionate about orthodontic care, act kindly towards patients, and be able to multi-task.

Role

  • Obtain current records on patients including photos, CBCT scans, and iTero scans.
  • Record patient charting and all doctor notes in the digital patient chart.
  • Educate patients on orthodontic care.
  • Assist in placing, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances such as brackets, Invisalign, expanders, Carriere Motion appliances, and Herbst appliances.
  • Schedule next appointments.
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance and safety through OSHA compliance.
  • Participate and attend community marketing events

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent spoken & written communication skills.
  • Urgency toward delivering superior patient care.
  • Comfortable with computer use.
  • Obtained a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Orthodontic experience is preferred.
  • Be a positive and energetic person inside and outside the office.
  • Always a Kaplan team player.

About the Patient Coordinator Position

Role

  • The Patient Coordinator is responsible for maintaining proper and efficient flow of the front desk area including answering telephones, checking and responding to voicemails, emails, and text messages.
  • The Patient Coordinator is responsible for checking in patients and as needed checking out and scheduling patients.
  • The Patient Coordinator will oversee daily financial aspects of the practice including completing financial contracts, managing patient financial conversations, daily review of delinquent accounts, following up on overdue accounts, collecting payments, and closing the day.
  • The Patient Coordinator participates in our community marketing events throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent spoken & written communication skills.
  • Urgency toward delivering superior patient care.
  • Comfortable with computer use.
  • Obtained a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Financial experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Dental or orthodontic experience is highly preferred.
  • Be a positive and energetic person inside and outside the office.
